On My Own of Michigan’s Social Program is designed for those individuals looking for social interaction and for the possible move to independence.

Social members are required to take eight classes per fiscal year. These classes are non-academic and are specifically designed to teach daily living skills. We also offer and encourage social outings for members to participate in. Samples of classes offered annually:

Classes for On My Own members are held Monday-Thursday evenings. Outings are held on the weekends. One or two classes are taught each evening for a ten-week period, four times per year.
