On My Own of Michigan’s Skill-Building Program is designed for those individuals looking for social interaction and for the possible move to independence.

Members are offered classes that are non-academic and are specifically designed to teach daily living skills. We also offer and encourage social outings for members to participate in. Samples of classes offered annually:

Classes for On My Own members are held Monday-Thursday evenings. Outings are held on the weekends. One or two classes are taught each evening for a ten-week period, four times per year.
